RIVIERA DELLE PALME
A wonderful stretch of coastline along the Adriatic Sea. 16 kilometres of golden sand, low coastline and a gently sloping seabed.
Here on the Riviera delle Palme, the undisputed star is San Benedetto del Tronto, which is where our hotel is located.
San Benedetto del Tronto is a perfect location to explore and experience. Starting with the seafront promenade, one of the most beautiful in Italy, featuring a cycling area and plenty of greenery. The safe beaches and the sea with its shallow waters are ideal for family holidays.
Moreover, San Benedetto del Tronto has been a holder of the Blue Flag since 1999.
If you love nature, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Sentina Nature Reserve (https://www.riservasentina.it/), a protected natural area located at the mouth of the Tronto River.
Sentina consists of an extraordinary environment, such as sandy shores, back-dune wetlands, and brackish grasslands.

Also worth a visit is the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Marina, with its amazing mosaic floor. A stroll through the centre to sample the many shops and venues is also great.
If you come to San Benedetto del Tronto, you absolutely must visit the area around the South Pier: a leisurely stroll, adorned with over 400 metres of murals created by Italian and foreign artists. Then there are unique sculptures, such as a monument to Jonathan Livingstone's seagull.
Besides San Benedetto del Tronto, the Riviera delle Palme includes the seaside towns Cupra Marittima and Grottammare. These towns can be reached on bicycle, with a pleasant ride along the cycle path by the sea, surrounded by palm trees, oleanders and tamarisks.

The villages of the hinterland
From our hotel you can quickly reach a number of places that are worth a visit. Such as the beautiful Ascoli Piceno. Its historical centre was created from travertine, a local limestone rock. As you stroll through the centre, you can stop at Piazza del Popolo, a place that is symbolic of the Renaissance, with historic palaces such as the Palazzo dei Capitani. Ascoli Piceno is also known as the City of a Hundred Towers, due to the many stately towers and bell towers it contains.
Not to mention the village Offida, included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. Its fortress dates back to the heart of the Middle Ages and the ladies who still work with lace, seated outside the houses in the historic centre, render Offida a timeless place. The centre of the village is the Piazza del Popolo, with its distinctive triangular shape.

Lastly, Acquaviva Picena sits on one of the first hills inland from San Benedetto del Tronto. A village that offers a stunning panorama of the Gran Sasso. In Acquaviva Picena, there is a fortress, an ancient military palace from the Renaissance period, with a collection of weapons. Below the fortress is the Piazza del Forte, from where tiny alleys wind their way past the village's ancient houses.
Excursions into nature and the countryside
Only 60 km from San Benedetto del Tronto, you can reach the Sibillini Mountains. If you love nature, trekking and hiking, you can set off from here, all year round, to visit the mountains. All of this is just a few kilometres from the sea and the Riviera delle Palme!
